For AI agents

Your agent can drive the session. You still write the music.

Agents can speed up the process — in the tools you already know and love.

This is not “click a button and have a computer compose the music for you.” You can do that. We don’t recommend it. If an agent helps you get the idea out as fast as possible, we’re big fans.

Billed annually at $179 $300 · or $25/mo monthly. No official Musio agent API.

The Musio plugin catalog — orchestral brass, percussion, strings, and woodwinds in one searchable UI

The plugin in your session. One search. The whole catalog.

Works with

  • Hermes Agent
  • Codex
  • Claude
  • OpenClaw
  • Cursor

Names and logos belong to their owners. No partnership or official integration. Computer-use of the Musio plugin in your session — not a Musio API.

Don’t buy a warehouse of libraries to try this

You still need good instruments. You don’t need a fortune to see if this way of writing is for you.

The pile

Another expensive library. Another Kontakt window. The fun dies before the cue starts.

One plugin

3,600+ instruments. Over $5,200 catalog value. Low CPU. No Kontakt. One UI for you and the agent.

In the session

Drop Musio on a track. VST3, AU or AAX. The agent works that instance — not a standalone app.

Complete, so you can keep going

Strings, brass, choir, piano, synths, world, sound design. Unlocked. New releases land in the same plugin.

How the experiment works

Technology should help the creative process, not get in the way. These agents — and what they can do — are exciting.

Your agent drives the session and operates Musio where it’s inserted as a plugin. Search. Load. Play. Same UI you’d use.

  1. 1

    Put Musio on a track

Logic, Ableton, Cubase, Studio One — whatever you already open. The plugin lives in the session.

  2. 2

    Search the one catalog

Type a sound. Click a result. No choosing which player window to open first.

  3. 3

    Keep what you like

The session still owns MIDI and mix. The agent is an extra pair of hands on the plugin. Trash the rest. Save a rack if a palette works.

Hermes Agent, Codex, Claude Code, OpenClaw, Cursor, and other computer-use agents can already do this. Not a Musio API.

Musio search in the plugin — results across collections in one interface

Search in the plugin. That’s the surface the agent clicks.

Sits in the apps you already use

Ableton Live Ableton Live
Cubase Cubase

Quick answers

Have fun with it. No official agent API. Live Complete pricing. One plugin in the session.

Does Musio have an official agent API or SDK?

No. You don’t need one to experiment. Computer-use agents click the Musio plugin UI already open in your session — the same way you would. There is no official Musio agent API or SDK, and no partnership claimed with any agent vendor.

Will this compose the music for me?

You can point an agent at a session and let it go. We don’t recommend it. Compose your own music. We’re big fans when agents speed up the process — search, load, try ideas — in the tools you already know.

How do agents actually use Musio?

They operate the Musio plugin instance sitting in the session — Logic, Ableton, Cubase, Pro Tools, and other major hosts. Search, load, play in that plugin UI. Not the standalone Musio app. Optional: agents that also drive the host app via MCP or similar bridges can pair the same session.

Do I need to buy a pile of libraries first?

No. That’s the point. One searchable Musio plugin is the whole catalog — 3,600+ instruments, over $5,200 — without a warehouse of expensive libraries or a Kontakt maze. Complete unlocks it so you can keep exploring.

Is this for experimenting, or a serious scoring setup?

Both can be true. The page is for composers who want to have fun and explore AI-assisted writing. The plugin is still the same Musio: one player, a real catalog, low CPU. Play first. Keep what works.

How much is Musio Complete?

Musio Complete is $179/year ($15/month billed annually) or $25/month monthly. Education pricing is $99/year. Catalog: 3,600+ instruments, over $5,200.

Do I need Kontakt for Musio?

No. Musio is its own plugin. You do not need Kontakt or another sample player to search, load, and play the catalog from the plugin UI.

What are Musio racks if I’m just trying this?

A palette you liked and want back. Save a setup in the plugin; reopen it next session. Handy when you or an agent find a combination that works. Browse community racks at https://musio.com/rack.
